I'm Diogo, a former hospitality professional turned software developer with a passion for problem-solving and lifelong learning. After spending nearly a decade in England working in roles from receptionist to health and safety manager, I made the decision to return to Portugal and pivot toward something I had always been curious about: tech.

What started with a bit of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript quickly grew into a deep interest in programming — and soon after, I enrolled in an intensive 14-week bootcamp to become a full-stack developer. The experience changed my life. Not only did I complete the course, but I was invited to stay on as a software instructor, helping others make the same leap I did. For the past two years, I’ve been teaching and mentoring aspiring developers while continuing to sharpen my own skills.

I feel most at home in backend development and love the logic and structure behind building robust systems — but what really keeps me hooked is the constant challenge. There's always a new concept, a new bug, or a new idea to explore. Outside of coding, I’m a lifelong learner, book lover, and someone who genuinely enjoys helping others grow.
